Biography - Cheryl Kelley
I’m Cheryl Kelley and I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have loved photography for as far back as I can remember. In my youth, I wanted to become a photojournalist and trek through Africa on expeditions. But life had different things in store for me, including six years in the Air Force as a computer operator followed by office manager of a small computer business and raising two wonderful children.
During that time, I never forgot my love of photography and animals, and started honing my skills by getting my bachelor’s degree in art/education and lots of practicing along the way, initially using film then on to digital.
I am now at a time where I can devote all my attention to my first love, photography and animals. I have had the privilege of having both dogs and cats as part of my life for almost all my life. I currently have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and a beautiful tabby cat.
I am also a volunteer photographer for a small animal rescue and have photographed many different animals, including dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats and chinchillas.
My other interests include yoga (both as an instructor and as a participant), music (violin mostly), kayaking and lots of walks, both in nature and in cities.
I am looking forward to photographing your fur/non-fur babies. Please contact me so we can schedule a shoot!
